26 February 2019 I A whole lot of Australians will get to know Nepal better as former AFL star Alex Rance leads a trekking expedition to the Himalayan nation in November.
The former Richmond defender recently announced his passion for the upcoming Nepal expedition through Instagram attracting thousands of reactions from his fans.
Mr Rance will be leading a team of 20 avid Australian adventurer who would trek through some of Nepal’s famous scenic destinations.
“I have a pretty amazing adventure planned for Nepal in November,” the 30-year-old Australian said on his Instagram post few weeks earlier. He used the post call interested Australians to join him on his Nepal adventure.

“If you’re an adventurer and keen to challenge yourself and help other(s) achieve, I’d love you to join me. Spots are limited tho,” he added in the post.
The post has since been taken down only to be replaced by another update announcing the completion of his team of twenty adventure-seeking Australians.
“Can’t wait for this adventure,” wrote the star last week in another Instagram post; he said his expedition has been “sold out”.
Mr Rance’s expedition will surely generate huge interest in Nepal and the immense adventure tourism opportunity the South Asian country offers.
The country is currently observing Visit Nepal 2020, a year-old tourism promotion campaign. The AFL star’s expedition will no doubt be followed by footy fans and media back in Australia creating a strong word-of-mouth advertisement for Nepal’s legendary trekking destinations.
The former AFL star and 20 of his compatriots will trek through the famous Annapurna Circuit.
