5 March 2019: Police in New South Wales hold “serious concerns” for a dentist from Western Sydney who has been missing for three days. A CCTV footage has shown Preethi Reddy “at a fast food restaurant on George Street near King Street about 2.15 am on Sunday”, NSW Police said in a statement today.
She is believed to have left the restaurant alone a short time later, walking south toward Market Street.
The disappearance of the 32-year-old has been described as “out of character”.
It is believed Ms Reddy attended a dental convention at St Leonards, Sydney’s north shore, over the weekend.
She spoke with her family about 11 am on Sunday when the 32-year-old apparently mentioned about having “a late breakfast in Sydney”.
Ms Reddy, described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, is of slim build with long black hair and brown eyes. CCTV camera shows her as wearing dark-green long-sleeved top, black pants, and black ballet flats and carrying a taupe-coloured handbag.
The missing woman is believed to have driven her grey 2016-model Volkswagen Golf (NSW registration DFP78P) to St Leonards on 1 March 2019. Authorities are yet to locate her vehicle.
A Facebook post by NSW Police about the missing Penrith woman has attracted huge public reaction with over 2000 people sharing the information in just two hours.
“Hope she’s found safe and well prayers for her ??” wrote one Facebook user while another commented, “Hope she returns home safe. Prayers for preethi (sic)”.
