Indecent Assault Auburn2

Sydney: Police have released images of a man in relation to an indecent assault and possible stalking of a woman in Sydney.

The woman was assaulted at a Unit block on Queen Street in Auburn as she arrived home around 7 pm on Wednesday. A police statement said the 27 year old ‘saw a man performing a lewd act’ when she got out of the lift on her floor.

She then rushed towards her unit door but the man grabbed her shoulder. According to the statement, the man fled the scene via lift when the victim began screaming and hitting the attacker with her bag.

“The woman has told police she saw the man on two other recent occasions – once at her place of employment about 11am on Sunday (28 June 2015), and at 7pm the same day in the lift of her unit block.”

“The man is not known to her.”

Police from Flemington Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

“The man depicted in the images is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental in appearance, about 25 years old, about 170cm tall, with a solid build and medium-length, black wavy hair slicked back. In the images, he is shown wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and black shoes,” the police press release said yesterday.”
