31 March 2017: A 29-year-old Nepali man with an expired student visa has been charged with commercial drug supply after police officers found him in possession of 32,000 MDMA tablets Thursday afternoon.
The illicit drugs were found in his backpack when officers stopped and searched the man at 12:30 pm yesterday. Authorities later searched an inner Sydney unit where they recovered a further 22,000 pills, police said today.
The unidentified youth was charged with three counts of large commercial drug supply and was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court on Friday.
Australian Border Force has been notified of the arrest as the Nepali national’s student was found to have expired, police added in its statement today.
